About those Iranian neutron bombs
The Iranian government has informed the Obama administration that Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction are located in a valley close to the Iraqi border. They have offered the Americans a chance to go in peacefully and retrieve them. The two Japanese who were arrested were set free because they were carrying diplomatic passports. It's easy to imagine US Debt pre- Sept. 2008 could be invested in GOLD futures/options by sovereign foreign nations. Thus backing older US notes by gold. These futures could easily demand physical possession of gold when there contract due. Not all gold futures/options traders do this, thus suppressing the price. Much like a gun to US's head to not screw up. I'm not sure if this is the case, but a viable scenario and probably true to some extent. Also a way out for China holding US debt.
