For the next three weeks I will be disconnected from the internet and all digital means of communications so instead of summarizing the week’s news, I will be presenting deep background knowledge on the Yakuza and Asian gangs.
The first thing one needs to know about the Yakuza and the triads is that they are not crime gangs as defined in the West. The Yakuza are deeply connected to Shinto, the Emperor and Japan’s mysterious and ancient minority peoples. The Yakuza are partially descended from refugee followers of Mozi who fled heavy persecution by the first emperor of China in 200 BC. They settled in Kyushu and along the South-West coast of Japan.

Dear Ben,
Christopher Story has taken down his last post of July 10 describing the fact that he had been attacked. And that the Bush gang was surprised that he was still alive. He has not otherwise been heard from and there is much concern for his condition. But perhaps he is simply 'lowering his profile' to keep himself safe.
Now you seem to be 'telling us something' by your partial 'absence' as well. If reading between the lines is appropriate, then I will pray for your safety during these trying times. And hope both you and Christopher, the two truly credible "Paul Revere's of our time" remain protected and surrounded in love and caring to match your great and impeccable courage.
I can only fervently hope and pray that you are both 'staying low' while the game plays out during these crucial days.
